As a native Texan, Kyle Rensmeyer experienced the world’s best bbq at the source. Growing up just outside Dallas, he's lived all over the state, including College Station and Austin; sampling smoked meats from masters and craftsmen alike.

Not until leaving TX did he realize how truly lucky he was to have access to the unique flavors of Texas bbq. Not long after he made it his mission to bring those flavors to the Pacific Northwest.

Landing in Portland in 2014, Kyle spent years and countless hours cutting his teeth over the smoker, and as a result is able to bring the best of Texas out of every bite of his recipe.

Quickly grabbing the attention of local and national food publications, Holy Trinity has become a defining source for authentic Texas bbq in Portland.

It’s the eve of our first burger night. 🤭 Tomorrow we’ll be slinging our regular menu from 11a-3p. We have a limited amount of bbq available so that we can close down for a little bit and prep for burger night. What to expect: this is a first for us but i think we’ve got a fun plan in place. I think we can pump out some burgs and fries… we’ve got enough to do about 180 burgers and fries to match so bring the family, bring that person you hooked up with pre-covid and haven’t talked to in 16 months, or your pet sitter, or whoever really. Let’s have some fun and crush some burgs & fries && GET THE FUCKIN TOPPINS you philistines. Brisket burger: $10, 1/2# smoked patty, American cheese, dukes Mayo, shrettuce, pickles on a toasted Martin’s potato bun.
